So I recently returned to playing Furcadia, which again proves my point that it's just impossible to stay away from it. Something mystical runs around that peaceful little world, I swear.

It was nice though, I realized that after two years I still haven't forgotten most of the shortcut keys and tricks of the trade. It was a bit weird logging in to find myself without a Ferian, but I quickly made up for it with a port, Wolven for life and 12 month SS.

For those of you who are still wondering what the hell kinda game I'm talking about, let me make it simple: Imagine anything. That's Furcadia.

So normally I don't rant or make a fuss over little things, but I'm kind of pissed I didn't get to go to Anthrocon this year. My budget had a meltdown around the last 3 days and I ended up losing any chances of going. It's quite saddening, I was planning to meet so many people.... too bad so few of them contacted me, I might have been able to get a lift.

I suppose there's always next year, but I really wish I would have gone this time. Guess 2010 is my day!

Well I won't work for them, but I figure you all are nice enough. Lately I've been trying to tap in to my inner artist, but all I come up with are scribbled lines and a bad looking character. Yes, I'm trying to draw people and anthropomorphic creatures, but my sense of structure, depth and size are all slightly off.

I know that practice makes perfect, but to be honest I don't know what to practice on! It's frustrating me, I have a passion and can't express it. I want to draw characters with CHARACTER, a human/animal with emotions that you can see. Not into realism here.
Because of this, a lot of tutorials don't work for me. Art lessons are about the same thing: realistic pencil/pen art.

SO, without further adieu, I decided to consult the experts... YOU. I just need a friendly push in the right direction, I willing to dedicate time and effort into learning but I need resources. What resources? I'll let you decide xD

Depth
Perception
Size
Characterization

Not looking for:
Extreme realism
How-to-draw with references (I know what I want, I just can't get it out of my head)

Omg omg omg I am probably the happiest wolfy on the planet right now! I'm going to Anthrocon 2009! This will be my first fur-con, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'll get to see a couple of awesome peeps there who I've been wanting to meet for a while, such as Rei-Jin from the Welcomer group on Furcadia.

I already have my entire wear together: Black 1910 antique tails tuxedo with a wolf tail and possibly ears if I can afford it. I'd like to try fur-suiting one day but the weather has GOT to be over 100 degrees in there.....

Anyways, just wanted to put out a little offer to anyone reading this: If your interested, and it sounds like something you might want to do, then you can meet up with me there =3. What I guess I'm really trying to say is that at the moment, I'm going ALONE and it's going to be friggin scary and boring ALONE. So yeah, I might even be willing to pay for your ticket at the door if your serious about going xD

Wow, I didn't even notice that apparently a lot of people have been viewing my page! Currently I have OVER 5,000 page views!!!
